Effective: May 2026
Inspirited is a personal cocktail recipe and home bar tracker. This page explains what information the app handles and what it does not.
Summary
The app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you create — your bar inventory, ratings, bookmarks, custom recipes, and imported recipe photos — stays on your device.
What the app stores on your device
Inspirited uses Apple's local SwiftData store to keep the following information on your device:
Your bar inventory (which ingredients you have, optional ABV values, and "bottle of" relationships between generic ingredients and specific bottles).
Your custom cocktail recipes.
Ratings and bookmarks you assign to cocktails.
Structured recipe data extracted from photos you choose to import.
This information never leaves your device.
What the app does not do
It does not collect any personal information.
It does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
It does not transmit any data over the network.
It does not have user accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync.
It does not send anything to the developer.
Camera and photo library access
Inspirited requests access to your camera and photo library for one purpose: to let you snap or select a photo of a recipe and import it as a cocktail. The photo and any extracted text are processed entirely on your device:
Optical character recognition (OCR) is performed locally using Apple's Vision framework.
On iOS 26 and later, extracted text is then passed to Apple's on-device language model (Foundation Models / Apple Intelligence) to structure the recipe. That processing is performed by Apple's framework on your device. The app does not transmit the photo, the OCR text, or the structured output to any external service.
The photo itself is not stored by the app — only the structured recipe data you choose to save.
Data retention and deletion
Because all data lives only on your device, you control it directly:
Delete individual recipes, ingredients, or photos within the app.
Use Reset App Data if you see the recovery screen on launch (after a schema migration error, for example).
Delete the app from your device — this removes all associated data.
There is no server-side data to delete because no data ever reaches a server.
Children's privacy
Inspirited is not directed at children. Because it features cocktail recipes, the App Store age rating is 17+.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will replace this page and a new effective date will be shown at the top. Because the app is local-only and collects nothing, any future updates would only loosen this position by adding a clearly disclosed feature, never tighten it.
